Abeinsa Juarez Norte III 

Critical Technologies Consulting, LLC was retained as the Independent Engineer for Construction Monitoring, Critical Path Component Monitoring and Post COD Operations Monitoring on behalf of multiple Lenders to support the SPV for the Abeinsa Juarez Norte III (“AJN III”) Project. 

The Project consists of two power islands, each of which consists of 2 Gas Turbines (“GTs”) each direct coupled to a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (“HRSG”), 1 Steam Turbine (“ST”) and 1 Air Cooled Condensers (ACCs) with associated shared balance of plant equipment including water treatment and wastewater treatment.  The Project is located near the site of Samalayuca Sur, 30 km south of Ciudad Juarez in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico.

The Project was awarded to Abengoa and benefits from a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad, (“CFE”) for a 906.7 MW combined cycle power plant utilizing proven technology operating as dual 2x1 power islands.
